Our Heritage Team can offer paid advice about work:

  • on listed buildings
  • on locally listed buildings
  • in conservation areas
  • in registered historic parks and gardens

What we offer

As part of this paid service, we can discuss your ideas with you in written desk-based assessments or site visits. We will then follow up with a written response that can help you to successfully get consent for your proposed work.

This can help to save time and money in the long-term and provide specialist support for a subject that can be quite difficult to understand and research.

Householder service fees

Service What you get Fee (VAT inclusive)
Standard Advice service This service usually includes:

- one hour desk-based research
- a written response within 20 working days of receipt.

Additional time is charged at hourly increments based on the hourly rate of £169 		£175
Standard Advice service with site visit This service usually includes:

- one hour desk-based research
- one hour site visit within 10 working days of receipt*- written response within 10 working days of site visit.

From 1 April 2024 we have also introduced a new fee structure for commercial and major development schemes:

You will need to contact customer services and ask for a member of the heritage team 		Service includes:
